The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
