Area Police
Approximately 50 cars have been covered with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by police.
Automobiles, exterior walls and mailboxes were vandalized, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they reported in a statement.
Police report they were contacted late on Wednesday evening, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored fluid.
The liquid had been drawn in the pattern of a swastika, they stated.
Law enforcement then found numerous other smeared vehicles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.
These symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation prohibiting the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.
Officials report preliminary tests show the liquid was probably human bodily fluid.
"There is still no indication as to where it came from; investigators are presently not cognizant of any injuries in relation with the incident," they stated.
Municipal representatives stated they were trying "to resolve the mystery" and have appealed to the residents for information.
An important official stated the incident made him stunned and had to be resolved rapidly.
"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the pain of the right-wing terrorist attack half a decade ago," he posted on social media, mentioning the killing of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on residents of foreign heritage in February 2020.
